Eva Del Hebert Menge
It is with great sadness that the family of Eva Del Hebert Menge announces her passing from this life on Jan. 20, 2013, while at her residence in Jennings. She was 71. Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, from 12-9 p.m. at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings. Visitation will be held at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Chalmette on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, from 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral services at 10:30 a.m.
Eva Del was born in Rayne to the late Joseph Hebert and the late Hilda Roach Hebert on Jan. 5, 1942. She was a retired food service technician in St. Bernard Parish. She was a cafeteria worker for 25 years and still worked part time after retiring. She enjoyed word search books, dancing, and being with her grandchildren.
Eva is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn Spencer (Lee) Bouley and Belinda Remmers (Michael) Spell, all of Jennings; one sister, Delta Duplechin of Ragley; her five grandchildren, Kevin Remmers, Matthew Remmers, Stephen Remmers, Tommy Benoit and Gabrielle Hollier; and her eight great-grandchildren.
Eva now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Joseph and Hilda Hebert and her husband, Aloysius Menge.
