The Jennings Bulldogs returned home to face the St. Thomas Moore Cougars Friday. The Cougars’ big first quarter put them up early as they got past the Bulldogs 66-39.
Chris Perkins put the Bulldogs on the board first with a jumper that was followed by a 13-0 run by the Cougars, leaving the Bulldogs behind late in the first quarter. Consecutive jumpers by John Charles and Chris Perkins got the Bulldogs within seven points of their opponents. The visitors nailed a trey from the corner to close the first quarter, with the Dogs trailing 16-6.
