Parish seeks jail funding from state

Jeff Davis Police Jurors will be traveling to Baton Rouge on Feb. 13 to meet with the governor’s office about securing funding for a new parish jail.
Former State Senator Jerry Theunissen has been working with the jury to secure funding and will be traveling with the jurors to Baton Rouge to meet with Kristy Nichols, Governor Bobby Jindal’s commissioner of administration.
