Sheriff warns residents of jury duty scam

The Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office (JDSO) is warning citizens of a “jury duty” scam that has seen a recent resurgence in the area.
JDSO Criminal Investigations Commander Christopher Ivey said Tuesday that his office has received reports from residents who were getting calls from someone claiming to be a court official and notifying them of jury duty.
