Sheriff’s office stepping up patrols for Mardi Gras

Over the next two weekends, the Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office will be stepping up patrols as many residents across the parish celebrate the Mardi Gras season.
Sheriff Ivy Woods said Monday that sheriff’s deputies would be increasing their presence in Lake Arthur this coming weekend during their Mardi Gras festivities set for Saturday, Feb. 2.
