Lake Charles station KPLC’s attorney told the 31st Judicial District Court that it is no longer in possession of unedited documentary footage that was being sought by law enforcement. The footage featured interviews with a number of individuals connected to eight local women who were murdered within a four-year span.

The eight Jeff Davis Parish (JDP) victims, including Loretta Lynn Chaisson Lewis, Ernestine Marie Daniels Patterson, Kristen Elizabeth Gary Lopez, Whitnei Charlene Dubois, LaConia Shontel “Muggy” Brown, Crystal Shay Benoit Zeno, Brittany Ann Gary and Necole Jean Guillory, were found in southern or eastern JDP with the exception of Guillory, who was discovered along Interstate 10 south of Egan in Acadia Parish, between 2005 and 2009. To date, no one has been convicted in any of the murders.
