Strand Theatre to show “Passion Fish” on 20th anniversary of world premier

The Jeff Davis Arts Council, A Block Off Broadway Community Theatre and the Strand Theatre invite the public to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the world premier of John Sayle’s film “Passion Fish” at the Strand Theatre on Feb. 1, 1993.
The celebration will include a showing of the film on the anniversary at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1 with a reception following the showing, according to Strand Theatre Technical Director Lin Fake. There will also be another showing of the film at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2. Tickets cost $7 each and are available at the Tupper Museum, Evangeline’s Cafe and the Jeff Davis Business Alliance.
