Texas school named for Jennings native

KATY, Texas – A new elementary school in here has been named after Jennings native Tom Wilson.

Wilson is a graduate of Jennings High School Class of 1964 and is the son of David and June Wilson, according to a Katy ISD press release. The campus was officially dedicated Nov. 29 in a celebration that included community leaders, student performers and area dignitaries. The school opened in August 2012 with a student population of 850 students.
