Dogs improve to 2-1 in district

The Jennings Bulldogs took a short trip to Crowley High Tuesday for a district showdown that resulted in a split for Jennings’ two teams. The Lady Bulldogs were downed by the Lady Gents, 43-24, while the Bulldogs notched a big win on the road over the Gents, 57-52. In the girls’ game, the Lady Bulldogs kept it close in the first quarter, but still trailed 8-6 at the end of the frame.
In second quarter action, jumpers by Bradley and Brantley put the Lady Bulldogs up, 11-8, early in the second quarter. The Lady Gents answered with a 5-0 run and regained the lead. The Lady Bulldogs trailed at halftime, 16-15.
