While district action just kicked off for most hardwood teams Tuesday, including Jennings, Elton, Hathaway, Lacassine and Midland, Class 2A teams Lake Arthur and Welsh will soon be wrapping up their first round of league wars.  With an eight-team district schedule, class contests began in mid-December and will resume Friday with Lake Arthur’s and Welsh’s sixth district frays of the season.

Welsh’s two teams will host Vinton Friday, and then will travel to Pickering next Tuesday to finish their first round of play.
