What Happened?

Dear Editor,

We all voted for our two Senators which included David Vitter who was a self-pronounced conservative, but just recently he voted to raise taxes along with the democrats including Senator Mary Landrieu.

We elected what seemed to be a truthful person, but it seems he got caught up in the game of politics. He, along with the democrats and a few other republican senators, voted for the bill which was supposed to keep us from going over the fiscal cliff while raising taxes on many. It seems that in return for this the President has granted Congress, the Vice President, and the judicial branch raises even though our economy is still floundering under a burden of increasing debt.

Who in politics can we trust now? What will be his excuse? Marco Rubio and several others had the gumption to vote against this bill.
