10 local teams advance to playoffs

The LHSAA boys’ and girls’ basketball playoff brackets were released Thursday afternoon, with four local boys’ teams and six femme teams advancing to the bi-district round.
Both the boys’ and girls’ teams from Lacassine, Hathaway, Midland and Elton will take the hardwood next week for post-season play, while Iota’s and Lake Arthur’s ladies will also see their seasons continue for at least one more game.
