Funeral services for Donald L. Goodwin, 70, of Jennings, will be held on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Miguez Funeral Home. Rev. James Gaddy will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, from 8 a.m. until the time of services. He will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery in Jennings with full military honors.
Mr. Goodwin died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, in Oschner Hospital in New Orleans after a brief illness.
He retired from the United States Air Force in 1985 after nearly 24 years of service. He was a Vietnam veteran. He also served as the Jeff Davis Parish V. A. Service Officer for 17 years.
He was born in Jennings on Jan. 27, 1943. His parents, Wilbur and Lillian Goodwin, preceded him in death.
He and his loving wife of 36 years are faithful members of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kun Cha Goodwin; his very special brother, Darrell (Lois Ruth) Goodwin; his sisters, Linda Robertson and Wilma LeJeune; his brother, Byron; and several nephews and nieces.
