Flag raisers honored at LAHS

LAKE ARTHUR – Three Lake Arthur High School (LAHS) students were surprised Friday when the student body gathered to honor them for their dedication to patriotism as the keepers of the school’s “Old Glory”, or American flag.
Devin Hanks, 17, Jason Andrews, 14, and Stephen Teal, 14, were honored in a surprise ceremony Friday morning for their commitment to caring for the school’s American flag. The boys are responsible for raising the flag each morning and taking it down each afternoon.
