Hesse, Ray united in marriage
Stephanie Claire Hesse and Adam Ross Ray were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard. The ceremony was celebrated by Father Louis Richard.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Cheryl Hesse of Lafayette. She is the granddaughter of Mona Clay and the late Cassius H. Clay of Welsh and the late Dr. and Mrs. Robert A. Hesse of Lafayette. The bride is a graduate of St. Thomas More and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is employed as a teacher at St. Thomas More.
The groom is the son of Lynn and Danette Ray of Lafayette. He is the grandson of Mrs. Jean Daigle, the late Mr. Russell Daigle of Jennings, the late Ms. Julia Ray of Jennings and the late Mr. Lawrence Ray of Lake Arthur. The groom is a graduate of St. Thomas More and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is employed as a petroleum engineer at Chevron.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory Maggie Sottero fitted A-line gown featuring a v-neck, ruched bodice and an embellished allecon lace chapel train. Her dress was complemented by a double-layered veil with encrusted lace.
Ellen Hesse, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Leah Hesse Hichens, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kathryn Hesse and Monica Hesse, sisters of the bride, Alexis Ashbey and Paige Broussard, friends of the bride, and Emily Ray, sister-in-law of the groom. The honorary flower girl was Aimee Hichens, niece of the bride.
Rusty Ray, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Bryce Percle, Nicholas Sangchompuphen, Trey Boone, Heath Sonnier, Brandon Barker, and Jeremy Pye, all friends of the groom. Ushers were
