Iota boy saves mother from choking

IOTA – Friends and family here are calling a 12 year-old boy a hero after he saved his mother’s life Friday night.

Michelle Dupre of Iota had just picked up an order from a Lafayette sushi restaurant with two of her children, Jenna, 15, and Joey, 12. As they drove across the parking lot and approached a red light, Michelle said she started to eat a bite of sushi – then she began choking.
