JDBA to host Legislative Update

WELSH – The Jeff Davis Business Alliance (JDBA) is providing an opportunity in March to discuss issues that will be addressed in the upcoming Louisiana Legislative Session with local representatives.
JDBA is hosting their annual Jeff Davis-Acadia Parish Legislative Update breakfast from 7:30-9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12 at the Welsh Community Center located at 101 Palmer Street, according to JDBA President Cynthia Hoffpauir.
At last year’s Legislative Update, local legislators discussed the state’s $800 million deficit in 2012, education reform, as well as reforms proposed to cover the $12-14 billion budget gap that was weighing down the state employee retirement system.
