Jennings announces parade route

The City of Jennings announced its route for the Mardi Gras parade scheduled for Saturday.
According to City Project Coordinator Michelle Hebert, the Mardi Gras parade starts at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9.
“The parade rolls south starting at Shankland Avenue and continues onto South Main Street,” Hebert said. “Some floats will continue onto Wood Street before turning left onto Cutting Avenue. However, the larger floats have difficulty crossing the tracks and will turn on Railroad Avenue.”
