Lacassine takes commanding win

LACASSINE – The top seeded Lacassine Lady Cardinals started off fast and never slowed down in taking a 61-22 win over the no. 8 seeded Converse Lady Wildcats in the Class B Quarterfinals Monday.
Lacassine (38-1) advances to the Ladies Top 28 Tournament, where they will face the Hathaway Lady Hornets, who were 72-35 winners over Rapides. The game will be played at 8 p.m. Friday at the Lake Charles Civic Center with the winner advancing to the Class B Championship game, which will be played next weekend in Monroe.
