Lions Auction Resumes Tonight

The Jennings Lions Club kicked off its annual two-day auction last night, with Lions Bryan LeJeune and William Knight taking over as auctioneers for the first hour. The two have nearly 100 years of combined service with the Lions and are recipients of the Melvin Jones Award. Leo Club member Sophie Eastman assisted with displaying the auction items, while Lions Randall Fuselier and Ed Orgeron manned the phones. Tonight the club will auction off more “big ticket” items, including a duck hunt for two, six months of free pest control and a party bus trip for 55 people to Grand Casino Coushatta. Tune in for live auction action from 6-10 p.m. to Channel 11 or listen to the auction on KJEF 1290 AM. Bids may be placed by calling 824-2934 or 824-2943.
