Lake Arthur – Funeral services for Mrs. Rena Mae LeGros Richard Thibodeaux, 84, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial will be in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.
Visitation will be held today, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, from 11 a.m. until the time of services. A rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Thibodeaux died at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, in Gueydan Memorial Guest Home.
She was a native of Jennings, a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur, and a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Mrs. Thibodeaux received her nursing degree from LSUE. She loved to crochet, do crossword puzzles, garden and write poetry. She was a dedicated person in all that she did.
Mrs. Thibodeaux is survived by three daughters, Cheryl (Rick) Price of Lake Arthur, Rebecca Richard of Iowa, and Rena (Pat) Gaspard of Iota; three sons, Martin (Margene) Richard of Jennings, Raymond (Georgia) Richard of Kinder, and Gerald Richard of Winnie, Texas; three sisters, Betty (Elough) Sensat of Bundicks, Nola (Herman) Conner of Jennings and Marguerite LeGros of Jennings; a brother, Andy (Cynthia) LeGros Jr. of DeQuincy; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andy Sr. and Zula Dupuis LeGros; her first husband, Martin Richard Jr.; and her second husband, Homer Thibodeaux.
Pallbearers will be Warren Price, Andy Richard, Brandon Roy, Zachary Gaspard, Patrick Gaspard and Rick Hall. Honorary pallbearer will be Andy LeGros Jr.
