LAFAYETTE – Funeral services will be held for Patricia Ann Taylor, 74, on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette.

She  died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at her residence in Lafayette.

Interment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette.

Minister Lance Bennett of Riverside Church of Christ will officiate.

Patricia was born Friday, Sept. 30, 1938, in Jennings, and was a lifetime resident of Acadiana. She ran IRIS Inventory Service for over 30 years. She also worked as a real estate agent for 10 years.  Patricia was a member of Riverside Church of Christ in Lafayette.

Patricia participated in Bible Study Fellowship and Love Circle.  She loved animals and was active in greyhound adoption. She also enjoyed interior decorating. Most of all, Patricia loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, David Sturgeon of Lafayette; one daughter, Trisha Taylor (Wade) Jackson of Lafayette; one son, Kelly Robert Taylor of Lafayette; two granddaughters, Desiree’ Elizabeth Taylor and Lindsey Claire Taylor, both of Lafayette; one grandson, Joshua Michael Taylor of Lafayette; and numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Robert Lee Taylor; her parents, Nelson Guillory and Nita Ardoin; her sister, Katherine Guy; and two brothers, Jerry and Mickey Guillory.

Visitation will be observed today, Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. and will resume on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at 8 a.m. until the time of services at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette .
