State asked to assist with jail funding

Several Jeff Davis police jurors traveled to Baton Rouge on Wednesday to meet with the governor’s office about securing funding for a new parish jail.
Dis. 10 Juror Byron Buller said that while no promises were made for funding of a new jail, he felt confident that the state would help with the financing.
