Board chosen to oversee Welsh airport expansion

WELSH – A board was recently formed to oversee the airport here as town officials move forward with plans to expand the facility in an effort to lure small commercial airplanes.
Welsh Mayor Carolyn Louviere recently told the Jennings Daily News that the airport board consists of a number of Welsh residents and local officials, including herself; Ronnie Petree; Alderman Bob Owens; Town Superintendent Rick Matte; Economic Development and Tourism Commission Executive Director Marion “Butch” Fox; Chris Noble; and Alderman Charles Drake.
