Felix Edward Gary
The family and friends of Felix Edward “F.E.” Gary are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life and into the arms of Jesus during the early morning hours of March 12, 2013, at the age of 84.
Funeral services for “F.E.” will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. Father Charles McMillin will officiate. F.E. will be laid to rest in Calvary Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, March 13, 2013, from 3-9 p.m. with a rosary recited by Mrs. Ida Trahan at 7 p.m. at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings. Visiting hours will resume on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 8 a.m. until the time of his services.
F.E. was born in Jennings to the late Simon Gary and the late Agnes LeJeune on September 15, 1928. He managed G. P. Modlish for 46 years then went on to manage Welders Equipment in Jennings for the last 13 years. He also worked as a salesman. F.E. was a very hard worker and loved his job. He also enjoyed gardening, carpentery and camping. He was a member of First Derrick Campers Assoc.
F.E. is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Simar of Lake Charles; his two sons, Troy (Angie) Gary and Trent (Becky) Gary, all of Jennings; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
F.E. was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Agnes Gary; his wife, Myrtle Jules Miller Gary; and two brothers, Lother and Gavin Gary.
Carrying F.E. to his eternal resting place will be Caleb Gary, Jacob Going, Robby Going, Neal Young, Tim Young and Chad Clement.
