Helen Bergeaux
The family and friends of Helen Bergeaux are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called to her Heavenly Father on March 13, 2013, at the age of 92.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings to honor her life. She will be laid to rest in St. Jules Cemetery in Tee-Mamou with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.
Visitation will begin today, Thursday, March 14, 2013, from 2:30-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings. Visiting hours will resume on Friday, March 15, 2013, from 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral services.
Helen was a lifelong resident of Jennings and born to the late Leon Hebert and the late Eva Fontenot Hebert on April 13, 1920. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed playing bingo. Helen also loved cooking for her family and friends.
Helen is survived by her son, Oran Bergeaux and his wife, Patsy, of Jennings, and one daughter, Lena B. Fruge, also of Jennings; one sister, Fannie (Lloydson) LeJeune of Jennings; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Hebert of Evangeline and Edwina Hebert of Jennings; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Helen will now rest with her beloved family who preceded her in death: her parents, Leon and Eva Fontenot Hebert; her husband, Albert Bergeaux; one son, Nolan Bergeaux; five brothers, Clarence, Willie, Wilfred, Herman and Henry Hebert; and one granddaugher, Tammi Bergeaux
