LAKE ARTHUR — Tourists here can now enjoy overnight stays in the town’s first hotel to open its doors in nearly 80 years in the lake side town.

The hotel is called L’Banca Albergo, which means “The Bank Hotel” in Italian, according to owner and Lake Arthur native Bobby Palermo.

For the first time in nearly 80 years, visitors to Lake Arthur will be able to stay overnight thanks to the opening of a new hotel on Arthur Avenue. This is the first hotel in Lake Arthur since the 1930s when the historic Live Oak Hotel (left) closed it doors after a fire severely damaged the building.
