LAES travels to final frontier with Space Day

LAKE ARTHUR – Kindergarten students at Lake Arthur Elementary School (LAES) went on a ride through space on Thursday without ever leaving their gymnasium.
Students spent time inside a giant blue Discovery Dome, which was erected on the gym floor by a visiting crew from the Houston Museum of Natural Science (HMNS). Once inside the dome, a projectionist was able to create an instant planetarium for students to look at.
