Laura Faye Brasseaux
IOTA – A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Jules Catholic Church in Tee Mamou for Laura Faye Brasseaux, 52. Fr. David Broussard, pastor of St. Jules Catholic Church, will officiate the services.
She died Monday, March 25, 2013, at 4 a.m. at Jennings American Legion Hospital.
The family requests visiting hours begin today, Tuesday, March 26, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and resume on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from 8-10:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited today, Tuesday, March 26, at 7 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Iota. Burial will be in Reed Cemetery.
Mrs. Brasseaux is survived by her husband of 33 years, Roger D. Brasseaux of Tee Mamou; one daughter, Alisha Brasseaux of Tee Mamou; one son, Ryan (Gwen) Brasseaux of Tee Mamou; two grandsons, Michael Wayne Breaux and Kyler Matthew Brasseaux; her parents, Terry and Gale G. Hebert of Tee Mamou; five sisters, Karen H. Wimberly of Tee Mamou, Rhonda H. LeGros of Tee Mamou, Nanette H. Roy of Iota, Lisa H. Benoit of Iota, and Shelly H. Cormier of Tee Mamou; her mother-in-law, Lorris V. Brasseaux of Church Point; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Brasseaux of Church Point and Juanita B. Brown of Gueydan; one brother-in-law, Joe Brasseaux of San Jose, Calif.; and numerous nieces, nephews and great- nieces and nephews.
Laura was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Murphy and Lucy Klumpp Guillory; her paternal grandparents, Roman and Laura McFarlain Hebert; her uncle, Michael Guillory; and her father-in-law, Leo Brasseaux.
Pallbearers will be Kris Roy, Justin Benoit, Josh Benoit, Ryan Smith, Dylan LeGros, Justin LeJeune and Chad Gaspard.
