The family and friends of Mary “Dolly” LeBlanc are mourning the loss of their loved one. She was called to the arms of Jesus on Feb. 28, 2013, at the age of 90.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Hathaway on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Bertrand Cemetery with Father Babasino Fernandes officiating.
Visitation will begin today, Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 3:30-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings. Visiting hours will resume on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral mass.
Known to her family and friends as “Dolly”, she was born in Little Chenier to the late John Louis Miller and the late Margaret Clement Miller on July 20, 1922. She was a homemaker and housekeeper. Dolly was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She loved her flower garden, crocheting and painting.
Dolly is survived by her five sons, Adules “Al” (Carolyn) LeBlanc of Roanoke, Ron LeBlanc of Jennings, Raymond Eddie (Sherry) LeBlanc of Jennings, Tony (Christine) LeBlanc, also of Jennings, and Donald (Elaine) LeBlanc of Davenport, Fla.; her two daughters, Cindy (Gerald) Neal and Rose Eaves, all of Jennings; her four sisters, Eva Cormier and Jacqueline Watlington, both of Jennings, Frances Howell of College Station, Texas, and Nova Lawson of Killeen, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dolly now rests in Heaven with her beloved family who preceded her in death: her parents, John and Margaret Miller; her husband, Oza Joseph LeBlanc; one son, Shane LeBlanc; her two brothers, Raymond and Clement Miller; and her two sisters, Louise Landry and Mary Ann Gauthier.
