Mayor reacts to Fenton audit advisory

FENTON – The mayor here says he is confident that village officials are being wise stewards taxpayer dollars, and that only minimal updates to the language of existing policies and procedures are needed to resolve the findings in a recent audit advisory issued by the state.

Fenton Mayor Eddie Alfred Jr. spoke Wednesday about a recent legislative audit advisory that identified several control deficiencies and two issues of possible non-compliance. He said the village has a plan in place for all of the findings presented by the state.
