It is with great sadness that the family of Melissa Ann Kibodeaux announces her passing from this life on March 14, 2013, at the age of 45.

A memorial service will be announced by Matthews and Son Funeral Home at a later date.

Melissa Ann was born in Houston, Texas, to Maxie E. Mendoza and the late Ruth Uribe Mendoza on Aug. 5, 1967. She worked as a medical assistant. Melissa loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the casino and eating Mexican rice.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Michael Kibodeaux; two sons, Jimmy (Lisa) Baker Jr. and Christopher Baker, both of Jennings; her daughter, Steffani Baker of Jennings; one brother, Max Mendoza of Houston, Texas; and her six beautiful grandchildren.
