Nathaniel Franklin Benfield

Funeral services for Nathaniel “BB” Franklin Benfield, 68, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at New Sunlight Baptist Church. Pastor Harold Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Benevolent Cemetery in Jennings under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 9 a.m. in the church.

Mr. Benfield died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, in his residence.

A native of Roanoke, he resided in Los Angeles, Calif., for most of his life prior to moving to Lake Charles for the past nine years. He was a member of New Sunlight Baptist Church, a retired employee and a U.S. Army veteran.

He leaves to cherish his memories his companion, Shena Edwards; two stepdaughters, Artie and Beverly Edwards all of Lake Charles; and one brother Reggie Pierfax of Los Angeles, Calif.
