It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Pearl Marie LeBlanc announces her passing from this life and entrance into Heaven on Feb. 28, 2013.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Hathaway on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., with Father Babasino Fernandes officiating. She will be laid to rest in Bertrand Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings today, Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 3:30-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visiting hours will resume on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral mass.

Pearl Marie was born in Jennings to the late Simon Miller and the late Louricia Kratzer Miller on Aug. 22, 1927. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to taking care of her family. Pearl was a member of the Catholic Daughters Association and the VWF Auxiliary. She loved watching western movies, French dancing, and cooking.

Pearl is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Elridge LeBlanc; two sons, Lennis (Doris) LeBlanc of Hathaway, and Michael (Ruby) LeBlanc of Lakewood, Colo.; her five daughters, Cheryl (Gene) Monta of North Carolina, Linda (Johnny) Miller of Jennings, Lillian (Preston) Seaux of Jennings, Amy (John) Fontenot of Hathaway, and Amanda (Rayford) Fontenot of Hathaway; 22 grandchildre; 28 great-grandchildren, with another one on the way; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pearl now rests in Heaven with her beloved family who preceded her in death: her parents, Simon and Louricia Miller; her two brothers, Clarence and Wilson Miller; two sisters, Zula Fruge and Mable Deshotel; her two great-granddaughters, Kynli Michelle Miller and Angela Langley; and her son-in-law, Henry Broussard.

Carrying Pearl to her eternal resting place will be Dusty, Dillon, Matt and Adam Fontenot, Brett Crader and Joseph Credeur. Honorary pallbearer will be Kaleb Johnson.
