Police search for assault suspect

City police are investigating the assault of a local man who said he was sleeping at a friend’s house on Jefferson Street Thursday when he was attacked.
Jennings Police Department Deputy Chief Danny Semmes said the adult male victim was assaulted around 2 a.m. Thursday morning and managed to walk to another friend’s home on Doyle Street shortly after the attack occurred.
