Funeral service for Ritha Mae Edwards “NuNu” Achane, 73, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Love of Christ Ministries located at 615 E. Division Street in Jennings. Pastor Roy Harmon will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, from 9 a.m. at Love of Christ Ministries in Jennings under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Achane died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in Rayne.
She was born in Thornwell to the late Wilfred and Emma Pattum Etienne and lived in Phoenix, Los Angeles and Las Vegas prior to moving back to Jennings for the past three years. She worked as an LPN and at Matel Toy Company.
She is survived by one son, Leonard Edwards of Los Angeles, Calif.; four sisters, Dorothy Lewis, Annabelle Jones, Laura Daniels and Rosa E. Morgan, all of Jennings; three brothers, Wilfred (Pearl) Etienne Jr. of Houston, Texas, and Arthur (Betty) Etienne Sr. and Daley Etienne Sr., both of Jennings; three grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
