Wednesday deadline set for voter changes

Jennings residents’ last day to register to vote or make changes to their voter record for the April 6 Spring Municipal Primary Election is March 6. During the spring election, voters will decide on the next City of Jennings mayor. Those needing to register or make changes may do so from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Jeff Davis Parish Registrar of Voters office on North Cutting Avenue in Jennings. Proper identification is required to register to vote, such as a valid Louisiana driver’s license; valid picture ID that shows voter’s name; and proof of residence such as a utility bill or bank statement.
