The City of Jennings is considering replacing two traffic lights with stop signs and making one four-way stop permanent after a study showed traffic flow was not heavy enough to warrant a red light.

The city council voted to introduce an ordinance Tuesday that would authorize the elimination of traffic lights at E. Academy St. and Cary Ave. and N. Main St. and Market St., as well as make permanent the four-way stop signs at S. Main and Wood streets.
