The Berwick Panthers used timely hitting and quality pitching to take a 3-2 win over the Jennings Bulldogs in the Class 3A Bi-District round of the playoffs Friday. The loss ends the season for the Bulldogs, who finished the year with a record of 16-13.

The Bulldogs’ offense got rolling early in the first inning when Keagan Deaville reached base on a walk. Two batters later, Cade Henry came up to the plate and hit a double, which scored Deaville to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead after the first inning of play.
