Donation drive underway for domestic abuse victims

As much as people don’t want to believe it, Jeff Davis Parish (JDP) has its share of domestic and sexual abuse. Thankfully, the parish also has its share of people who are willing to do something about it and provide help and care to victims.

Communities Against Domestic Abuse (CADA) is an organization that gives free assistance to those – mostly women and children – who have suffered. As part of its mission, the group runs the Betty Sue Thomas Well safe house.
