Three more rice field days for 2013

Three remaining LSU AgCenter field days for rice farmers will be held locally in Louisiana, according to Steve Linscombe, director of the Rice Research Station.

The Rice Research Station in Crowley will host a field day on Wednesday, June 26, starting at 7:30 a.m. Topics will include research related to variety and hybrid development, diseases, insects, weeds and agronomy, followed by talks on rice economics, the farm bill debate and the Kellogg’s Master Rice Grower Program. A lunch will be served.
