Exemptions exist in ‘no shots, no school’ issue

In Tuesday’s edition of the Jennings Daily News, the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) reminded the public that state law requires school-aged children to receive appropriate immunizations before they are allowed to enter pre-k or kindergarten, or begin their sixth grade year.

However, while the law requires immunizations, exemptions from this law are available under certain circumstances.
