JDP, state see increase in retirements

In the past few years the state has undergone many reforms to its educational system. Changes in rules, curriculums, salaries and evaluations have led to a drastic change in the teachers themselves—mainly being that more and more are retiring early and replaced by new hires.

Jeff Davis Parish, no exception to this movement, saw an all-time high employee turnover for the 2012-2013 school year.
