Oran John was born in Iota to the late Albert Bergeaux and the late Helen Hebert Bergeaux on May 13, 1943. He was a graduate of Jennings High School. Following graduation from high school, Oran worked for Pennzoil Petroleum Company as a production foreman until completing his career in retirement. Oran loved the Lord and served Him faithfully all of his life. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Oran met and married the love of his life, Patricia “Patsy” Trahan, 51 years ago. The love he had for her was like no other. Patsy was his life from grade school and she will continue to feel his presence for eternity. Oran loved his children and grandchildren with all he had. He also loved his quarter horses and everyone associated with them. Oran lived each day to the fullest to love and care for his family. His presence in all of their lives will never be forgotten.
Oran is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Patricia “Pasty” Trahan Bergeaux of Jennings; three daughters, Denise (Rodney) Ringuet of Jennings, Debbie (Mike) Lachaussee of Moss Bluff, and Darla Jean (Craig) Crochet of Welsh; one son, Donovan Louis (Miranda) Bergeaux of Jennings; his 15 grandchildren, Katie, Kami, Keeley, Robert, Keegan, Kristen, Kolby, Brennan, Kacie, Kennedy, Kylie, Morgan, Kylan, Jordan and Taytan; four great-grandchildren, Kensley, Bryce, Landon and Mason; and one sister, Lena Fruge.
Oran now rests in Heaven with his beloved family who preceded him in death: his parents, Albert and Helen Bergeaux; one infant daughter, Tammi Lizette Bergeaux; and one brother, Nolan Bergeaux.
Carrying Oran to his eternal resting place in Calvary Cemetery will be Rodney Ringuet, Mike Lachaussee, Keegan Ringuet, Kolby Ringuet, Robert Linscombe and Brennan Jeanise.
