Politics Color Blinded?

Dear Editor,

You and I have never heard of any president condemning a jury in a murder case regardless of color or facts.

This president seems to be color blinded when you consider his remarks in the Florida trial which seem to be childless talk.

Chicago now has a center of color stain where blacks are killing blacks. There has been no national news or comment by the president or anyone else of color on this travesty that I have heard. Are not these killings a tragedy also?

All this rioting in response to the Zimmerman trial is a shame and an act of childish response to our courts and should be halted. While we don’t always agree with what every jury decides, it is still the American way and once a jury has decided we need to accept it. Otherwise any verdict could be questioned and where would that leave us – a state of chaos instead of civilization.

Such childish acts cannot be tolerated in a civil society. Maybe some folks have too much time on their hands and too much hate in their hearts.

There is and should not be color in law. Justice is blind and that includes color blind. Health care and handouts of welfare and food stamps need to be color blind also as all crayons are in line.

Silence and time heal all if we are but willing to forgive and get on with our lives.
