Rita Mae Boyle
The family and friends of Rita Mae Boyle are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life and entered into Heaven on Aug. 13, 2013, at the age of 66.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Jennings on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at 2 p.m. Rita will be laid to eternal rest in Riverside Cemetery. Father Charles McMillin will officiate.
A gathering of Rita’s family and friends will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, from 9 a.m. until the time of her funeral mass at 2 p.m.
Rita Mae was born in Evangeline to the late Alfred J. Guidry and the late Nora Mott Guidry on June 18, 1947. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to taking care of her beloved husband, Earl, and raising their eight children. Rita enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking coffee and watching the birds go by. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.
Rita is survived by her husband, Earl Boyle of Jennings; her two sons, Corbett (Rosanna) Boyle of Welsh, and Andrew Boyle of Jennings; three daughters, Rita (Anthony) Linsey of Ville Platte, Karen Boyle and Brooke Fruge, both of Jennings; her three brothers, Allen Ray Guidry, Ronnie Guidry and Claude Guidry, all of Jennings; two sisters, Elaine Miller of Lorrie, and Patsy Crochet of Jennings; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Rita now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Alfred and Nora M. Guidry; her two sons, James and Earl Boyle; one daughter, Rebecca Boyle; one brother, Rayford Guidry; and three sisters, Lacey Guidry, Emily Bouley and Theresa Daigle.
