AgCenter offering free nutrition classes

The LSU AgCenter in Jennings will begin a free six-week nutrition education course Sept. 16 aimed at teaching low-income residents with children and those with limited resources how healthy meals can be prepared and fill bellies without emptying pockets.

“People definitely think eating healthy means spending more money,” said AgCenter Nutrition Educator Tiffany Cormier. “But this class will show them that you can eat better for less.”
