Beulah Comeaux Navarre
The family and friends of Beulah Comeaux Navarre are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life and embraced in the arms of Jesus on Sept. 25, 2013, at the age of 82.
Funeral services will be held to honor Mrs. Beulah’s life at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at 12 p.m. Mrs. Beulah will be laid to eternal rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Father Charles McMillin will officiate her services.
Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home today, Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, from 2:30-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visiting hours will resume on Saturday at 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral services at noon.
Beulah was known to all her family and friends as “Jo”. She was a lifelong resident of Jennings and born to the late Gabriel Comeaux Sr. and the late Pearl Godeaux Comeaux on Aug. 21, 1931. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to taking care of her beloved husband, Weday Navarre, and raising their six children. She enjoyed fishing, crabbing and going dancing. She also enjoyed baking and cooking.
Mrs. Beulah is survived by her five sons, Rickey Navarre (Linda) Sr., Michael (Connie) Navarre, Kent (Cathy) Navarre, all of Hathaway, Reynolds Navarre and Blane Navarre both of Jennings; one daughter, Katie N. Rogers of Miss.; two brothers, Gabriel Comeaux Jr. of Welsh, and Jeffers “Boo” (Connie) Comeaux of Hathaway; one sister, Mildred Boulet of Jennings; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Beulah now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Gabriel Sr. and Pearl Comeaux; her husband, Weday Navarre; four brothers; and a sister.
Carrying Mrs. Beulah to her eternal resting place in Greenwood Cemetery will be Rickey Jr., John, Kegan, Rookie, Jacob, and Rickey Navarre III. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Breaux and Nick Navarre.
