Charles Ray Istre
CROWLEY – Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Northside Assembly of God Church in Crowley for Charles Ray Istre, 37, who died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at 11:18 p.m. in New Orleans.
Rev. R.D. Treece will officiate for the services. Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. with no ending time until 2:45 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in LeBlanc Cemetery in Midland.
Charles is survived by three sons, Kaiden Paul (Benoit) Istre of Roanoke, Chaston Michael (Townley) Istre of Oakdale, and Kennison Cowart of Kinder; his parents, Terrell “Terry” and Fay Myers Istre of Sulphur; one sister, Bonnie Fay Geerts of Crowley; one brother, Terrell Istre Jr. of Sulphur; his maternal grandfather, Ray Lee Myers of Crowley; and his godchildren, Maci Premo, Christopher Murray, Terrell “Little Man” Istre III and Raylee Istre.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Wilma Myers; and his paternal grandparents, Beatrice and Charles Istre.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Andre Mouton, Brandon Istre, Brannon Foreman, Cedric Istre, Christopher Murray, Clifford Newman, Duncan Myers, Kris Bonin, Max Trahan, Scott Myers, Skippy Myers (godfather) and Tregg Istre.
