When you roll the dice, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. DeRidder Head Coach Eric Parmley rolled the dice Friday night in Jerry Simmons Stadium. He threw a seven, or in this case an eight, to give his Dragons a one-point win over the home standing Bulldogs.

The Dogs had dominated the Dragons for nearly 44 minutes before DeRidder busted into the scoring column. Daniel Crosley blocked a Bulldog punt and returned it 30 yards to paydirt. Parmley then decided to roll the dice and go for a two-point conversion. After lining up for a conventional point after kick, the Dragon holder picked up the snap from center that barely got airborne, and completed a shovel pass to Addie Fisher for the two points to steal an 8-7 victory over the Bulldogs. The touchdown and two-point conversion came with 4:13 showing on the clock in the fourth and final frame.
